Faye Larcum is an intuitive oil and mixed media artist based on the edge of the Howardian Hills in North Yorkshire. Her work embraces an abstract style, drawing inspiration from the colours, shapes and landscapes that surround her. Colour, together with the subtle outlines and rhythms of nature, drives her work, with each painting reflecting emotion, movement and atmosphere and capturing the essence of a landscape in flux — much like people, which change and evolve over time.
Spending her childhood immersed in a creative and visually rich environment, Faye developed a deep appreciation for art from an early age. She learned traditional painting techniques alongside an understanding of art history, which continues to inform her contemporary practice.
Her intuitive approach allows emotion and instinct to guide the process, resulting in abstract paintings that evoke both memory and mood.
